The P.S. 12 was part of a series called the Precision Series and featured improved mechanical bracing with lava insulators at each end of the plate to anchor the filament and grid leads. Other tubes in the series were the P.S. 10 amplifier and the P.S. 15 output tube. The P.S. 12 was a detector with a max plate voltage of 45.
