General Electric Type CA
DC Amplifier Triode
1918
The CA was designed for use in resistance coupled amplifiers and had a voltage amplification factor of 50-150. To obtain this gain the grid was composed of many fine turns of wire close spaced to the filament, with the plates far spaced. This is a late version of the CA, made in 1918.
